Have you ever wanted to take that cool ride you have been building out onto the track and see what it can do? Are you looking for no speed limits, no pedestrians, but best of all-no tickets. There is a new HPDE (High Performance Driving Experience) series of events coming to Pocono Raceway, that may be just the opportunity you have been looking for!
The Stacked On-Track series is bringing their High Performance Driving Experience to Pocono Raceway in Long Pond PA in 2019. There will be multiple events throughout the year for drivers of all experience levels. Whether you are a beginner driver or a road racing expert looking to hone your skills and test the limits of your machines, these events offer something for all skill levels.
The events will be broken into 3 separate driver groups. Run sessions will be 20 minutes.
First is the beginners group. All new HPDE drivers start here. This group will have experienced racing instructors to teach you the ins and outs of important driving techniques like line, speed, how to approach a turn, what gear you should be in, proper way to brake, etc. This class features little to no passing allowed and is for the true beginner.
Second, the Stacked On Track series has an intermediate drivers group, which is for experienced drivers who need no instruction and have HPDE prior track time. Passing in this group in limited and is to be done in designated “passing zones” and in a safe and controlled manner.
Lastly is the Advanced group. This group is Geared toward highly experienced drivers, with a great knowledge of high performance driving this group features unrestricted passing, however, passing still needs to be approached with extreme caution and proper track etiquette – “point by’s” are Highly Encouraged. All drivers are reminded, these events are not a race – leave a clear passing lane and do not force a pass to be made late.
