The D1NZ 2019 Drifting Championship storms into the Max Motors Family Speedway in Wellington,NZ this weekend for Round 2 “The Thunderdome”.


This Friday and Saturday sixty drivers look to battle their way to the podium and compete for New Zealand’s Pro drifting championship.


The D1NZ Pro Sport Series saw Michael Thorley put on an amazing performance at Round 1 with his ENZED sponsored Nissan Laurel.

Taking the top qualifying position and never looking back, Thorley would move on to take the win in grand fashion.

Leading the points going into Round 2 the Custom Drift team looks to repeat and extend their lead against second place Taylor James and Third place Kurt Blackie.


Darren Kelly leads the Galore Parts 2019 Pro-Series Drifting points heading into Round 2 after taking the win at Baypark.

Kelly took his R35 GTR from a low qualifying position to the top of the podium after an exciting battle with second place finisher Daynom Templeman in his E46 BMW in the finals.

The super popular Matty Hill rounded out the top 3 in his Nissan S15.


Defending winner Matty Hill looks to repeat against the field as Fanga Dan, Cole Armstrong, and all the other Pro Series drivers look to bring their teams a win in 2019! The action starts this Friday in New Zealand! Head over to the D1NZ page for all info and the LIVESTREAM!
